Information Architecture

First of all I made an Information architecture map to understand better how the app works and what features it has.
I refined the structure further but you can see the map at the start.

The app is positioning itself as an app for non-professional cooks. Of course everyone can improve but Yumee is an app for friends! Oh yes, also you can put a “Yummy” to a photo, video or recipe.
Using a social media that matches her fast and busy lifestyle
No time for grocery shopping? Just pick a recipe and order products you need. Yumee couriers deliver it in less than 30 mins. And of course you can post a picture of your masterpiece.
Feel free to show her talent in cooking without the fear of being perceived as unrelatable by her vast network of contacts
Yumee is a community based on the topic of food. Welcome to a foodie’s paradise!
Using a social media completly focused on food in which her contents get the right attention
Take a photo or video of your meal, put a filter, add some stickers, put a description. Your friends will see your post in their feed- full of yummy food.

Wireframe
development

The map we created initially helped us in creating the wireframes - we just needed to follow the information architecture. Of course in the process of creating wireframes we slightly changed the information architecture cause we realized that some things just don’t work and some things had to be added.

Brand Identity

We have created a typographic logo for our platform, because considering case studies and competitors, this is what works best. We gave it a friendly and informal look through the initial Y-made with a handlettering style.

It also becomes the icon for the application. The palette is very warm and the colours are reminiscent of typical kitchen elements in different cultures.
